Hazrat Maula Ali ibn Abi Talib كَرَّمَ اللّٰهُ تَعَالٰى وَجْهَهُ الْكَرِيم was the fourth Caliph of Islam and one of the most honored companions of the Holy Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. Known as Ameer-ul-Mu’minin, Mushkil Kusha, and the Lion of Allah, he was born inside the Holy Kaaba on the 13th of Rajab. His father was Abu Talib and his mother was Fatima bint Asad. The Holy Prophet ﷺ lovingly gave him the title Abu Turab.
Hazrat Maula Ali كَرَّمَ اللّٰهُ تَعَالٰى وَجْهَهُ الْكَرِيم accepted Islam at a very young age and was raised in the blessed household of the Holy Prophet ﷺ. Throughout his life he remained a loyal supporter and defender of Islam. His bravery was clearly seen in great battles such as Badr, Uhud, and Khandaq, where his famous sword Zulfiqar became a symbol of courage and justice.
In the spiritual tradition of Tasawwuf, the chain of Wilayat begins with Hazrat Maula Ali كَرَّمَ اللّٰهُ تَعَالٰى وَجْهَهُ الْكَرِيم. Many great Sufi silsilas trace their spiritual lineage back to him, recognizing him as the source of spiritual wisdom, inner knowledge, and divine guidance. His life remains a shining example of faith, knowledge, bravery, and devotion to Allah.
