Hazrat Ghaus Pak (رحمة الله عليه), also known as Ghaus-e-Azam and Shaykh Abdul Qadir Jilani (رحمة الله عليه), was one of the greatest Sufi saints in Islamic history and is widely regarded as the Sultan of all Auliya (King of all Saints). He was born in Gilan (Iran) and later settled in Baghdad, Iraq.

He belonged to the blessed lineage of Aal-e-Rasool ﷺ, and his Shajrah (lineage) traces back to Rasool-e-Pak ﷺ (محمد ﷺ) through both sides — from his father’s side to Imam Hasan (عليه السلام) and from his mother’s side to Imam Hussain (عليه السلام), through Maula Ali (عليه السلام).

It is famously attributed to him that “my foot is upon the necks of all the Auliya” (Qadami ‘ala raqabati kulli waliyyillah), expressing his high spiritual rank among the saints.

He is the founder of the Qadiriyya Silsila, one of the most prominent Sufi orders. He is remembered for his deep knowledge, piety, and spiritual excellence.

His blessed shrine is in Baghdad, Iraq, and is one of the most visited Sufi shrines in the world.
